About usIn their words
“We have a viable well and running water.”
Over 2 weeks of the wellbeing down and several discussions of having to abandon it…. Dave with Affordable Pump Service did his thing!!! All pipe, wire, and pump was removed after falling in over 600 feet. Things were looking bleak but Dave and his wife Paula gave it one last try… And we have a viable well and running water.
We recently had our well pump/motor and piping replaced by David and Paula and are extremely satisfied with the job they did – and their price; they really are affordable. They’re honest, hard-working and took the time to explain all that they were doing. Without reservation we highly recommend them.
My well shut down. I had just replaced a pressure tank and pump. Still no water. I called Dave at Affordable and Dave and his wife were on site within 2 hours. He explained the problem with the well and in less than 3 hours I had nice cold water.
I have used them for water quality and flow test prior to purchasing our house. Then we had some warranty work and preventative maintenance upgrades.
He discovered the root cause of a problem we’ve had with our pressure pump & accumulators for years. He solved it in 2 hours.

What’s under Pinal County
The water keeps getting farther away.
Around 1900, water in much of Pinal County sat about 50 feet below the surface. By the late 1970s farm pumping had pulled it to 300 to 400 feet, and the ground sank with it: more than 15 feet near Eloy. Some areas have recovered with Central Arizona Project water, but deep wells are the rule here.
Deep water means long pump settings, heavy pump pulls, motors that need water flowing past them to stay cool, and surface equipment cooking in 110-degree sun. It’s the work we do every week.

Straight answers
Well pump questions, answered.
I have no water from my well. What should I check first?
Check the well pump’s breaker in your electrical panel. If it has tripped, reset it once. If it trips again, leave it off and call us: a breaker that won’t hold usually means a wiring, motor or control problem.
What does a pressure tank do?
A pressure tank stores water under pressure so the pump doesn’t have to start every time you open a tap. Inside is a bladder or diaphragm with an air charge that pushes water out until the pressure drops to the switch’s cut-in point.
How long does a submersible well pump last?
Many submersible pumps last roughly 8 to 15 years, but the real answer depends on how often the pump starts, how hard it works and the condition of the water and power.
Is arsenic a concern in Arizona well water?
Yes, in parts of the state. Arsenic occurs naturally in Arizona groundwater. The 10 parts per billion limit applies to public water systems; for a private well, the owner is responsible for testing and treatment.
Who regulates private wells in Arizona?
The Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR) registers wells, licenses well drillers and reviews well drilling notices. Water quality in a private well is the owner’s responsibility, and the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) oversees water quality statewide.
